Varigata di Bologna

Variegata di Bologna is a large shrub rose that can also be  a climbing rose, growing over 2 meters tall. The blooms are large, about 10 cm in diameter, richly fragrant, and very full. Its most distinctive feature is the striking coloration — white petals streaked and spotted with red, giving the flowers a dramatic, almost painterly look. The main drawback is that it is not a prolific repeat bloomer; it flowers mainly in spring, with only occasional blooms in other seasons.
